In the morning I go to my christmas tree to open my presents. This year I am getting a new motor for my motorbike because my other motor broke down. We are getting a new trampoline and when I get it I am going to do a back flip. After that we will have our christmas dinner.

Cows By Taiaha Tahu * Cows belong to the cattle family. Cows are herbivores that eat vegetation such as grass. There are well over 1 billion cattle in the world. There are an estimated 300 million cattle in india. Meat from calves is known as beef. Meat from adult cattle is known as veal. Cattle are red/green colorblind. Cattle trained to be draft animals are known as oxen ox Young cattle are generally known as calves. Adult females are generally called cows. Adult males that are not castrated are generally called bulls. I picked the cow because it is a gentle animal and cows give us milk.

My Wet Day story

This is a story I wrote when I was at reading with Mrs Slade and Mrs Tepania. Wet Day In the morning it was raining. The rain was coming down hard. When I got to school there were puddles everywhere. Everyone went into class, I was wet as. We couldn’t sit on our chairs because we were wet. I went by the heater to get warm and try to get a little bit dry.

the wave pool

In the weekend I went to the wave pool. When we got to the pool we went in the bombing pool and I did a v bomb and the water went high. After that we went on the waterslide and I went fast down the slide and when I went down there was a dark as tunnel. Then we went to have pizza and it was ham, cheese and pepperoni and we had chips. It was yum as. Then we went back in the water and when we got back in the pool the wave pool was on and I went to the deepest part of the pool and I kept on going under. but it was fun

a boy with a pig

One day there was a little boy and his name was Jack. And he was running and then he saw a baby pig. Jack climbed the fence and got the pig and ran with the pig. He ran home and was going to cook the pig but the man was looking at the little boy’s house and took the pig off him. The man looked after the pig the pig was happy.

Taiaha athletics

On Friday we had athletics at school. We got changed and ready for it to start. The Year 5 boys had high jump, sprints, discus, javelin and shot put. My favourite was high jump because you had to jump over the pole without touching it and making it fall down. Next year I want to do well in javelin. That was with Mr Barks. It was fun. I am in Tainui.

Taiaha film festival

On Wednesday we went to the Manaiakalani film Festival in sylvia park. We had to go on a bus and we sang songs on the way to Sylvia park. In the cinemas, we had to sit on a couch. Me and my friends had to sit on a comfortable seat. After that we had to watch cool moves and then our class movie came on. I was excited. After that we went back to school.

The weeked

In the weekend I played on my psp and I played Assassin Creed Bloodline. I had to fight a knight and I chopped his head off and it fell on the ground. Then I went into the castle and there were heaps of knights and I had to put Assassin hands together so they would know that I am not an assassin so they wouldn’t kill me. After that I went outside to ride on my bike and I rode to G.I to get the $3 kfc.Then I went home to watch tv.

the fireworks

On tuesday last night we had fireworks and it was The big boom box. and the bad boy and it was big as and we let the cascade up fist and it was spinning fast and it was tagging colours After. that we let the roman candles and I got to hold it and shot up high.

fliying to the moon

Hooray! I have won a tIcket to space and I hopped into the car and went to the rocketshIp. We went in the ship and then the man said, “5 4 3 2 1,” and we blasted off into space. We saw heaps of stars and when we saw the moon. The gas started to run out and we just got to the moon in time. Then the rocket shIp started to fall apart. After that we fixed the rocket and filled it up. We put the flag on the moon and all of us went back home.

At Ambury farm

On Wednesday our Literacy group went to Ambury farm We went on the van and we went Ambury Farm. Mr. Jacobsen took us to Ambury farm. When we got to the farm we saw the cows get milked. We got to pat the cow and it felt smooth. Then we saw the sheep and they were cool. We saw the piglets and they were cute and then we saw a big bird and it had colourful wings. After that we went to see the bull and it was big as. Then we had lunch. After we had lunch we went to see the sheepdogs. After that we went on the van to see the horses After we saw the horses we went back to school.

the plane

One day there was a little girl and a mother and a little boy and they were at to the park. The little boy was running with his mother and flying his plane and they were holding hands. After that he threw his plane into the air and then it got stuck in the tree and the wing broke. They took it home so his Dad could fix it.

At the prak

One day there were three children and their names were James, Sam and Olivia and they were going to the park with their Mum and Dad. When they got to the park they went on to the slide. They went on the slide and James fell off and broke his arm and leg and Sam and Olivia ran to their Mum and Dad. Dad said, “ James has broken his arm and his leg. He picked up James and took James to the hospital and got his arm and leg checked out. While the doctor checked his arm and leg he was crying for his Mum and Dad.

One day there was a girl and her name was Katie. She was walking and she saw a cat stuck up in the tree. She ran home to get her Dad. He got a ladder and she got her cat down and they went home with the cat.

Last Monday I went to hospital and I was going to get my tonsils out of my throat.  I stayed at the hospital for 5 days.  For our lunch we had jelly and icecream. After that they gave me a tv and I watched Spy Kids.

And I went home 5 days ago.

Maui and the sun.

There were five brothers and they were sick of the sun.  Maui wanted to make the sun go slowly. They made ropes to make a trap to catch the sun. Then the brothers  went to the hole and they put the ropes on the sun and all the brothers pulled the sun. Then Maui beat the sun and the sun went slowly across the sky. After that Maui went home with his brothers to eat.

A long time ago their was a young man called Aladdin and his mother. They were poor and an evil magician came and took Aladdin to a cave. The magician

told Aladdin to get the magic lamp and Aladdin got it. He  rubbed the lamp and the genie came and he went home and they were very rich.

the six brothers

A long time ago there were six brothers. Their names were Tu and Tane and Tawhirimatea and Tangaroa and Haumia and Rongo. Papa was always on Rangi and Tu wanted to kill their parents but the others did not want to. So they tried to pushed them apart but they couldn’t so Tane pushed his legs and the dad got pushed up into the sky. They were free. Tane became god of the trees and Tu was god of men and fighting. Tawhirimatea was god of wind and Tangaroa was god of the sea and Haumia was god of food. Rongo was god of peace.

The school holidays

During the holidays I played on my PSP. I played God of War. After that I went outside and played basketball with my sister. After that we went to see the Matariki fireworks display and then we went home.

It was a beautiful day the sun was shining and team 4 were off to Kelly Tarltons. “Line up at the door, it’s time to go to the hall” said Miss Lavakula. Miss Garden said the prayer for us to have a safe and happy day. I was excited as we climbed on the bus. When we got to Kelly Tarltons Room 13 and 16 went to the school room. A lady called Janice was there. She talked to us about lots of different things that are in Antarctica. She told us about Scott Base. It is painted green because it reminds them about the grass in New Zealand. Janice dressed Promise in clothes they wore in Antarctica in the old days. He had on brown baggy pants and top, a balaclava, deerskin gloves and boots. He looked very cool. “I bet he is hot” I thought to myself. We left the classroom and went to Okahu Bay park to have our morning tea. we had to walk in the wet grass and then we had our lac After that we went to the park and then we went on the fly fox. We walked back to the Kelly Tarltons and then we saw a Shark car and it was cool. When we walked around, we saw a big fish and then we went to see the penguins and it was cool. And then we went to see the big Octopus and it was big. We went to see the Seahorses and they were very small. There was an electric eel and they were big. I saw a Shark it had big teeth.

One day there was a penguin called Jack. he was swimming in the water and then a big hungry seal came and ate the penguin. Jack’s family was so sad. They buried him in the snow and broke the iceberg and it floated away.

Stormy Weather

This morning I was walking to school

got very wet and when I got to school I went by heater to get dry.

My Holiday

In the holidays I was playing on my X box. I played Black Ops. It is a shooting game. I watched a movie I watched Wreck it Ralph. I liked the part when they were fighting the alien cybugs. My favourite part was when Wreck it Ralph got the medal.

My Exciting Easter Break

On easter day I went to my dad’s house and

we ate Easter eggs and it was yummy. Two

days later we went to Glen Innes and we had a hangi. There was cooked pork and kumara.

When my dad and I ate it was

nice. After that we went to the beach and we got four easter eggs.When the sun was going down we went home.

On Saturday my family went to the warehouse. My sister and I got one big block of chocolate and then we went to Pak n Save we had to get a drink . Then we had to get some pipis after a while we went to the Gi pools and my mum and dad cooked the meat while my sister and I had a swim.Then my mum and dad called us to have lunch then we went home .

School Picnic

The Picnic On Friday the whole school went to a school picnic. Room 13 and Room 14 found a perfect spot and our classroom ate morning tea. After that me and my friends went down to the beach with room 13 and 14. After that we went for a swim with teams 4 and 5. Mr. Burt said that we can jump off the rocks. After awhile we went back to school and then we went home.

My First Day at School On my first day at school I went to school with my nan. My teacher was Miss Vaufusaga. At lunch time me and Louis played on the slide. After that I was sad because school was over.
