big black whale

I wish I were a jumbow, dark whale
Out in the infinite open sea sea.
He blows like a hose
Through the top of his nose,
As playfull as a whale can be,
And the sailors look pale
When they hear his tail
Go bang bang, bang,
On a big wave’s back
Out in the far navy sea.

  1. Hi Taiaha

My name is Ramsey Willis and I am a graduate student at the University of South Alabama in the United States. First I must say that I love the design of your blog page with the cars. I am a big "fast car" fan myself. Now I am ready to comment on your poem. It was excellently written and I especially like when you say "And the sailors look pale, When they hear his tail, Go bang, bang, bang". It paints a vivid picture and makes the poem come alive. Great poem and great picture! Great Job Taiaha!
